Description

Spectrum IT are working with a well-known UK brand to hire a Contract C#.NET Software Developer for an initial 6 month contract to focus on development and Back End API's. This is a FULLY REMOTE WORKING role deemed inside IR35. (Please note suitable candidates for this role must be residing in the UK currently).

As the Contract Software Developer you will join the UK based agile teams to focus on delivering a variety of new features as well as maintaining the current applications. You will have strong experience with C#.NET, Web API's and working in a TDD/BDD environment.

As part of the agile team you will actively take part in all Agile ceremonies which include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily stand-ups
  • Retrospectives
  • 3-amigos
  • Sprint planning
  • Backlog refinement

The Role:

  • Own and deliver new features to current applications and work to resolved bugs and tech debt
  • To produce high quality, maintainable, and reusable code which is performant and secure
  • Play a key role in technical delivery
  • Configure/utilise build and deployment mechanisms to deploy changes through multiple environments
  • Take an active role in stand ups and other Agile ceremonies

Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive C#.NET development experience
  • .NET Core
  • Azure
  • Swagger/OpenAPI
  • BDD or TDD methodology experience
  • Unit Testing
  • Experience with modern development frameworks and tooling
  • Use of CI/CD tools (such as TeamCity/Octopus Deploy/DevOps Pipelines)
  • Familiarity with writing automated unit and functional tests
  • Experience with Specflow or Gherkin syntax (highly beneficial)
  • Git
