Job Description

The Commercial Banking division within the Client has over 100,000 clients across a wide range of business sectors, from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations and financial institutions. Our offices are based across the UK and in Europe, North America and Asia. Commercial Banking provides its clients with the knowledge and products that they need to secure growth, manage risk and enhance efficiency.

Client Products (CP) manages the capital of the Commercial Bank to deliver appropriate returns on long-term client relationships by following rigorous analytical and data-driven approaches to assess business performance, manage the portfolio and distribute risk.

Portfolio Analytics is a specialist team responsible for developing methodologies, data and tools used in CP and Commercial Banking to support the delivery of sustainable returns from client relationships and execute risk distribution transactions. The team is also responsible for the development of pricing tools, internal capital framework and risk transfer modelling.

The team is looking for an exceptional professional to take the distribution platform forward. Initially you will support and continue minor developments and changes to the existing application, which has been written using .NET and VSTO Excel integration, engage with the business to gather requirements and implement those requirements to completion. You will also be working with quantitative model developers and testers to push through changes to delivery. Once you are comfortable with the existing application and support processes, you will be responsible for planning and executing the decoupling of the .NET application from the VSTO implementation, and the design and implementation of a new API interface to be deployed on existing Windows applications Servers.

Ongoing support and enhancements will be required by you throughout the engagement, so you will need to be confident and able to manage these responsibilities along with the redevelopment stages.

Technical ability will be a given but more importantly you will be a team player with emphasis on collaboration with all stakeholders and the current technical team. You will be passionate about technology and how it can solve problems keeping up to date with latest technologies and see how these can be applied in the team. You will have a focused approach on getting results within agreed timelines. You appreciate the importance of clear defined requirements and will be confident and comfortable listening to and sharing technical ideas with a focus on technical simplicity.
