Head of Software Engineering - C#/PHP/NodeJS
Outside IR35, 6 month contract

Head of Software Engineering/Software Consultant is required by vibrant insurtech business. This is a 6 month interim role and will see you providing technical consultancy and mentorship to growing software engineering and quality assurance teams. You will work on cutting edge projects, redefining the insurance industry through APIs, automation and data manipulation. The role will provide opportunities to stretch your problem-solving skills, working on real world problems and impacting real users.

Key Requirements:
- At least two years' experience in a similar role
- Understanding of the entire web development process
- Up to date with latest technologies and their application
- Ability to mentor less-experienced engineers
- High level of coding standards in style and design patterns
- Experience in building for scale
- Knowledge on automation testing practices
- Static analysis and security testing
- Working within an Agile environment
- Experience with one or more of PHP, C#, Node.js
- Experience with one or more of Vue.js, Angular or equivalent
- Contribution towards code reviews
- The ability to write comprehensive documentation when required
- Ability to analyse user and stakeholder requirements
- Experience managing releases through CI/CD
