OCI Exadata DBA (DBA Migration Expert)
Experience Needed
- Requires 3 - 5 years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Exadata and
- Extensive Oracle DBA experience (9i - 18c)
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard and Golden Gate
- Experience of variances in Infrastructure & Data Centre Layout
- Solid understanding/experience of Oracle OCI FastConnect
- Understanding and appreciation of differing architecture frameworks and their individual strengths.
- Good Analytical and Technical Design skills
- Good understanding of configuration management tools like - GIT/GitHub
- Working in Agile Development/Scrum based teams
Job Description
- Responsible for all project life cycle activities including requirements gathering, analysis, design, software enhancements and/or development, testing and post-implementation support.
- Analyze current procedures and practices to gain an understanding of business problems or deficiencies.
- Migration of On-Premise Oracle Database onto OCI Exadata
- To monitor the performance, reporting and tuning of Oracle Databases
- Upgrade of Oracle Exadata Database
- Review and analyze available software, and enhancements to recommend any changes to the current system and to ensure that the most cost-effective and efficient applications are being utilized.
- Integrates systems and/or changes into current business workflows and practices.
- Develops all documentation in support of project life cycle phases including design documents, test plans, and implementation documentation.
