SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER - CONTRACT - REMOTE - MARKET RATE
This is an opportunity for a leading Enterprise Software business with multiple offices in the UK.
They are looking for a Software Engineering Manager/Software Development Manager to join their team.
Project Outline:
As Software Engineering Manager will be accountable for the operation of one or more high performing engineering teams. You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the people in your team, line management of development staff, management of third parties used to deliver the requirement as well as the successful delivery of software products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing and facilitating the creation of outstanding and high-quality, user-friendly products and services.
- Working with the Product Managers and Service Delivery Managers to highlight and surface all important metrics within our products and services and to create a seamless and manageable pipeline of work for the development teams.
- Establishing high performing development teams that are fully engaged with the business and delegating where necessary and ensuring a continual improvement in pace of delivery and quality.
What we are looking for:
- An excellent understanding of the main process and techniques surrounding technical delivery (eg Waterfall, Agile, XP, Scrum Master)
- Solid experience of software development, service delivery and associated techniques and practices (eg TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, QA and Testing etc)
- Experience of building Cloud based, Enterprise level solutions would be an advantage. (AWS, Azure, GCP).
