One of Energize Tech's key clients who are a big player in the insurance sector in Belgium, are currently looking for a freelance Senior Java Developer to join their growing team in Brussels;
- Start date: August 2021
- Until: with option to extend
- /day all inclusive
- MUST speak fluent Dutch, with working knowledge of English
- 100% remote during COVID19
- Based on-site in Brussels when safe to travel (with a few days remote every 2 weeks) - therefore candidates MUST be local to Belgium
Context
Within the domain we work with several agile teams consisting of functional and technical analysts, Java developers and testers. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who will strengthen one of the agile teams.
Knowledge of the following technologies:
- Java 8 or higher
- Vaadin or Struts
- Oracle DB
Nice to have
- Javascript
- Jump
- Openshift
- MongoDB
- RabbitMQ
- Cucumber & Cypress
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development
- Knowledge of Agile working
Tasks and deliverables
- Development of the file and care provider management applications
- Code review & pair programming
- Unit testing and code coverage via Sonarqube
- Maintenance of the Cucumber/Cypress test framework
- Coaching of fellow Java developers
- Additional work in the scrum team and the agile rituals
