For our client we are looking for a Ruby developer (m/w/d) with ChefDK knowledge in nearshoring.Language: English
100% Remote work (Team is located in Bulgaria, no presence required)
Duration: asap - 30.09.2022 (40h per week)
Task:
In the project the end-2-end process of a landscapes provisioning and starting/stopping of application need to be automated. Beside that the development team is supporting the configuration management of the OSes and may also work on patching activities.
Background:
Work in a global project team to develop cookbooks to harden the operating systems and the security settings, as well as develop self-healing scripts. Also one should develop start, stop applications and databases, as well as configure servers for the training and demo landscapes. This part is needed for our end-to-end process to deliver highly automated landscapes to our customers, partners and colleagues.
Skills:
- Ruby to write cookbooks
- Chef knowledge (server, developer kit, etc.)
- Application knowledge like database (e.g. MaxDB, HANA, Sybase) and systems (e.g. R/3, BOBJ, Hadoop)
- Windows and Linux knowledge
- Experience with Github
- MS teams planner
- Knowledge in GCP specially GCE (Google Compute Engine) and GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) is a plus
- English language is a must
