The Visualization lead will join a team of experienced data professionals and be responsible for working with senior management within the Global IT function and iteratively developing visualizations across a wide range of datasets and topics, including the Global CIO and Global COO Strategy dashboards. Responsible for senior stakeholder engagement and working across a global organization to secure knowledge, data and insight to guide the development of Enterprise Grade Visuals.
The Visualization Lead must be comfortable working with internal/external customers to understand their information needs, document and ensure that internal stakeholders understand and accepted the design proposed.
Must be able to clearly communicate new features and issues at all levels in the organization.
The role will require involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, deployment, and administration.
• Advanced understanding of Data Management and governance domain, and the required technical expertise.

• Manage the data through the development and maintenance of data models and data element standards and definitions.
• Develop the end to end lifecycle of data, data acquisition, access analysis/design, and archive/recovery/load design and implementation.
• Support the Senior manages in the definition, implementation and on-going development of the Data Strategy
• Describes and defines the structure of an organization's logical and physical data assets and data management resources
• Review and quality assure project deliverables pertaining to the architecture of data and development of data models and changes impacting the existing models
• Own and continuously improve the data models established for usage within the team
• Work alongside the Global Data Governance Manager to establish Data Management standards and frameworks
• Define and develop the processes and procedures to be adopted by the Data Team and the best practice development of data models, establishing a standard methodology.
• Support the Data Stewards in the development and maintenance of a clear and unambiguous data element definition for the domain the role is allocated to, ensuring completeness, accuracy and integrity of data
• Communicate to all levels of staff the business rules and definitions as well as understanding how this data intersects with other domains or business areas.
• Develop and communicate data quality standards for data entry and reporting of these data elements
• Build strong relationships with the HSBC Data Architect community, ensuring all developments/deliverables are in line with HSBC Architecture standards
• Work with Data Engineers to provide best practice design and development for data acquisiton
• Lead the analysis and recommendations for enrichment and cleansing of data to adhere to the data definitions and standards, working with various parties to ensure the correct update of data pertaining to their domain. Manage the enrichment of this data reporting on the adherence and completion through agreed reporting mechanisms
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Data Team governance frameworks and quality assurance processes
• Mentor and coach the Data Engineers in development of skills
