C++ Developers ideally with some Fortran/Experience of Object-Oriented Fortran.
you will work on a new porting model output diagnostics system, used by customers, into a new system designed to future-proof this element of the data workflow.
We are seeking a software developer to join our team to implement the proposed diagnostic workflow package within our application platform and migrate key customer focussed diagnostics into the new package. This will ensure the ability to use and further enhance operational forecasting and cutting-edge research.
1. Demonstrated competence in C++, Python, Linux and version control, eg GitHub
2. Familiarity with one or more compiled programming languages, eg Fortran, C, C++
3. Experience of working within a defined quality-focused development cycle
4. Clear verbal and written communication skills, including documentation
5. Commitment to working with consideration of Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity.
Hybrid HQ/WFH.
Inside IR35, so you will be required to use an Umbrella company.
You will also need a Basic SC cleared before starting, the client will arrange this.
