Software Developer Engineer - Java
London Based
Up to £500 per day for an initial 6 months - Extensions likely
We are working with a Consultancy Client running a large Scale Programme with a Key Government Client (Outside IR35 Regs) who are looking for a highly motivated Senior Software developer/Engineer to work within a highly skilled Development team based in London.
Ideally are a technically proficient full-stack developer with impressive analytic and communication skills; you are comfortable with talking to clients and enjoy the variety of working on different projects. You are likely to be someone with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with exposure to the entire software life cycle. Any experience of enterprise-level applications and their integration with other systems would be highly desirable.
Currently SC Cleared is essential
- Adept experience in Java, currently working with Java 8/11
- MVC, JDBC and RESTful
- Knowledge of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
- Building tools such as Ant, Maven and Gradle
- Using a range of technologies and libraries in the Java ecosystem
- Experience working in an agile development team, and applying strong development practices
- Experience in developing solutions in the cloud, AWS or Cloud Agnostic
- Experience in microservices architecture, including an understanding of containers and serverless implementation. This will include Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AWS Lambda

In return the client will pay a starting day rate of up to £500 for an initial 6 months. Extensions likely
