Senior Java Agile London - West London
My client, a leading music company is looking for Senior Java Agile developers to join a new, greenfield project. They do work in a heavily Agile environment so are looking for candidates with a strong TDD background.
Skills Requirement
- Java on different technology platforms (Tomcat, Jetty, WebSphere, JBOSS)
- TDD and BDD including JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, Cucumber, Selenium
- In-depth understanding of object-oriented web development approaches, software development life cycle, design principles and processes
- In-depth understanding of Spring framework
- Working experience in SQL
- Working experience in an Agile development team
- Experience of formal source control and change control processes including Subversion/Git/Stash
- Experience with Build Automation tools like Ant or Maven
- Good understanding of Continuous Integration concepts
Overview
- Work in an agile, cross functional team taking responsibility for the team deliverables and quality
- Working closely with team members and business stakeholders to gather and define requirements
- Promote good software engineering practices (eg test driven development, behaviour driven development, continuous integration, collective code ownership, peer-review)
- Delivering technical innovation
- Handle Server Side development for an n-tier Java application
- Be responsible for production of high quality, maintainable code
- Solve challenging technical problems within distributed environments
- Design and develop high quality code
- Work in a team using the Scrum agile methodology ensuring that your team meet your sprint commitments
- Continuous improvement of the tools and processes used by the team
