Description
Senior Java Developer with in-depth knowledge of microservices and containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes need to join Europe's biggest broadcasting companies as part of their Platform and Streaming teams. This is the team that is responsible for delivering premium entertainment into millions of homes 24/7 no matter the device.
Rate: £600-£650 (inside IR35)
Location: 2-3 days a week in Isleworth
Start Date: ASAP
As a Senior Java Developer within this team you will be tasked with designing, developing and testing new applications based on microservices using container technologies
such as Docker and Kubernetes with a focus on predictable scalability.
Requirements:
- Extensive system development knowledge with Java,
- Familiarity with configuration and build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana
- Applied knowledge of software engineer standard methodology and multiple software
development methodologies. eg XP, Scrum
- Knowledge of design patterns and solid principles especially event driven designs
- Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) & Pair
programming
- Experience of working with APIs
- Experience with MQTT (IOT), Kafka
