AWS Developer - £Market Rate (Inside IR35) 6 months
Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a prestigious public sector organisation, who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior AWS Developer on a 6-month, Inside IR35 contract. This role will be initially remote working before reporting to one of their offices in South Wales or Hampshire.
This role requires candidates to have active SC Clearance.
The Role
Replace Lotus Notes estate which will make extensive use of the IBM BAW technology to develop new business process applications, workflow, user interfaces and logic to deliver a new way of working for a team of 400+ people.
A standalone team will be created with responsibility for delivering the replacement for Lotus Notes applications using IBM BAW as the backbone of the workflow and task management, but also using AWS to manage the Back End databases, Middleware services and development of APIs.
We are looking for contractors who have extensive experience in development in AWS, and ideally should have the following skills
- Python
- Lambda
- API Gateway
- SNS
- ETL
- Postgres
- IAM (policies, roles, user groups etc.)
- Alembic
Candidates must be expert in the design and development of database structures, and the supporting CRUD APIs and exposing these, along with development of services within AWS.
The following are the main areas of responsibility:
- Design, develop and implement system of recording and underlying data models using appropriate AWS services along with CRUD APIs to manage the interaction with IBM BAW
- Developing/specifying and developing any Middleware services which will support the delivery of business process applications
- Identifying and defining integration points between IBM BAW, AWS and the wider ONS architecture and working with technical/solution architects to define and develop these integrations
