QA Engineer (Automotive experience || Manual Testing || (Travel required)

The Client

We are working with a Professional Services agency whose clients are giants in the Automotive, Pharma, Aeronautics industry industry.

For this role they need QA engineers with manual testing to join teams for their Automotive Clients. Hiring perm was stopped due to Covid and they are looking for Freelance help to augment already existing teams.

The Project

Each of these clients have Telematics and connectivity apps and the goal is to have QA engineers join in to test, validate and secure innovative connectivity solutions in software and hardware in the vehicle and on test benches by means of simulations.

***Depending on the interview results, you would be placed at one of the clients***

For this role, you must be either on site in Stuttgart or be able to travel 2-3 weeks for onboarding in various other cities from Germany:

Munich
Braunschweig
Wolfsburg
Ingolstadt
Heimsheim
**Huge bonus if you are German speaking**

Your Role

Develop universal test solutions for the testing of Connected Car and telematics systems
Test, validate and secure innovative connectivity solutions in software and hardware in the vehicle and on test benches by means of simulations
Commission and validate end-to-end test benches for Connected Car functions and validate them
Analyse communication protocols and carry out and validate vehicle-backend communication
Design test strategies and specify test cases
Work in error analysis and in the creation and tracking entries in the error database.
Evaluate and document the test results
Requirements

You have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or a comparable field of study or qualification or already have relevant professional experience
You have knowledge of common software testing methods (ideally ISTQB certified); general familiarity with tools like Vector and CANoe are a great advantage
You have initial experience in the automotive environment
You are inspired by topics in the area of vehicle networking, vehicle communication and infotainment
You are analytical and can easily connect information, and have a high degree of ability to work under pressure
You are comfortable taking initiative and bringing your own ideas and solutions to the table
