JavaScript Developer
*Outside IR35*
Hybrid working model - Remote/Milton Keynes
Our globally renowned client is looking for a JavaScript Developer to join their team. You will have experience working in a structured environment supporting a large eCommerce programme for the UK market.
You will have several years' experience in JavaScript development and be able to demonstrate a background of experience gained from a combination of implementation and hands-on development. Ideally, this will be across multiple technology disciplines and techniques including Cloud/AWS Development, Continuous Integration, Agile and be well acquainted with the full life cycle of application delivery.
You will also have extensive experience with the React framework for Front End development and Node.js for Back End development.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Be experienced in a JavaScript (React/Node.js) development role.
- Experience with using target environments in AWS is highly desirable.
- Working on retail eCommerce solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience in using the Feature App concept is highly desirable.
- Assessing and estimating work.
- Experience in representing technical discussions at all levels, including other technical parties and non-technical business customers.
- Good knowledge of enterprise application architecture including integration architecture.
- IBM IIB Integration Bus experience is desirable.
- Experience in application development from concept to deployment in an operational enterprise environment (ITIL).
- Fully conversant with the application development life cycle from both an Agile and Waterfall perspective and have a good understanding of requirements validation and testing methods.
- Experience of working in an enterprise environment with an appreciation of the associated limitations and challenges.
- Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of industry best practices for JavaScript application development.
- Be good at working in extended teams and capable of working under pressure.
- Experience of working in a diverse environment that consists of permanent staff, suppliers and independent contract staff.
