Description
- Should be good in problem solving & analysis - the Data Engineers will be investigating and interpreting data to recommend and support solutions for customers
- Significant experience of applying advanced level SQL, HiveQL and SAS skills in a previous customer data focused engineering job role;
- Experience of working across data stores (the Data Engineers will utilise these to bring together a common representation of customer journey), this might include Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata, SAS, Mainframe;
- Experience of data science projects delivering large scale benefits to complex data problems;
- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills - the Data Engineers will be collaboratively working with colleagues from different areas across Retail and the Group in order to understand and resolve issues for our customers;
- Experience in analysing data from specific populations of customers
- Experience with Building calculators to analyse data
