AWS Specialist - Glasgow - Inside IR35
Day Rate - £430
Duration - 6 months
Harvey Nash's Client are looking for an AWS Specialist, this role requires a unique blend of technical skills and experience.

- Enthusiasm and shown initiative with cloud environments
- Have an expansive mind-set with proven record dealing with on prem infrastructure and cloud services
- Background in complex Infrastructure and Platforms
- Previous experience and a strong technical background in Amazon Web Services
- Proven understanding of Cloud Service Management principles
- Experience of scaling out enterprise solutions and managing complex environments both on and off prem
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels, as well as strong technical documentation skills
- Creating, updating, and reviewing CloudFormation templates as part of our iterative Infrastructure-as-code approach
- Creating, updating, testing, and reviewing Lambda function code forming part of our iterative Infrastructure-as-code approach
- Performing routine and non-routine maintenance and support related to our AWS infrastructure and permissions framework
- Reviewing our existing AWS infrastructure and permissions framework based on established AWS Best Practice
- Proposing appropriate changes to our AWS infrastructure and permissions framework based on established AWS Best Practice
- Collaborating with corporate teams as part of implementing approved changes to our AWS infrastructure and permissions framework
- Documenting actions taken before, during, and after the implementation of approved changes to our AWS infrastructure and permissions framework
- Applying existing AWS skills and experience to contribute as required to design proposals related to our AWS infrastructure and permissions framework
- CloudFormation templating in YAML
- Lambda programming in NodeJS and/or Python3
- Understanding of the implications of the AWS Well Architected Framework
- Relevant AWS certifications and client feedback related to previous AWS infrastructure engagements
- Experience of basic Linux server administration
