Mentmore are supporting a leading household media organisation to secure an experienced Platform Engineer. The platform engineer will be responsabile for supporting the clients streaming platform.
The Platform Engineer will be responsabile for supporting platforms with 10's of million unique visitors, 20,000 requests per second and contains petabytes of data that is available to clients around the world.
Key Skills
- Have experience working with cloud infrastructure & platforms (ideally AWS)
- Have extensive knowledge of infrastructure as code, containerisation, automation and monitoring tools (eg terraform, kubernetes (EKS), docker, jenkins, sensu, E(FL)K)
- Possess a great working knowledge of linux (Centos, Amazon Linux 2)
- Be passionate working within an agile, multidisciplinary devops' team
- Be a clear communicator that documents well and is happy having their work critiqued
Desired Skills
- Being able to script
- Having experience designing, building and operating highly available, highly scalable systems
- Knowing about programming, networking, security, databases and/or storage
