Role: Senior Cloud Engineer (Contract)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months rolling
Overview:
- An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to work with us on a contract basis with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be expected to in work closely with other engineers in the customer organisation in their engineering and platform functions.
Key Essential Skills:
- Experience in Azure PaaS, with a variety of different Azure PaaS services
- Experience in Azure batch, Databricks, ADF (Azure Data Factory)
- Experience in at least in one of the RDBMS - Oracle and SQL Server or other RDBMS such as MongoDB
- PowerShell and/or bash Scripting
- Experience with DevOps in Azure cloud.
- 5+ years experience in Azure & Cloud Technologies
Desirable Skills:
- Writing infrastructure as code (IAC) to build new cloud infrastructure
- Writing and amending DevOps Pipelines for integration, build and/or deployment
- Designing and implementing best practice solutions to make software engineering functions more efficient
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Technically excellent and be able to hold technical discussions with senior manager level engineers
Role & Responsibilities:
- Leading technical delivery into Agile Release Train customers or platform utilities
- Designing and implementing best practice solutions to make software engineering functions more efficient
- Can be given an ambiguous long-term outcome and navigate their way to a solution, driving the work over many weeks/months
- Should hold technical discussions with senior manager level engineers
- Comprehensive experience of all essential skills
