Java Quant - Algo & eTrading Developer - Investment Banking

Strong technical Java serverside developer to work in Quant, Algo & eTrading groups developing Java for Credit FX Swaps and Rates. Java developer to work on high performance systems innovative and independent in their approach to their work.

Additional skills:-

  • JVM and its internal operation.
  • Both high throughput and low latency application design.
  • Highly concurrent software design, and the associated best practices for development and testing.
  • Network transports and SQL databases, and their associated architectures.
  • Source control strategies for large projects, and their best practices.
  • Data structures, their algorithmic complexities, and their suitability for use in different scenarios.

Responsible for the electronic algo and execution trading platforms, ebook and related pricing and risk management models, quantitative aspects of the electronic franchise optimisation.

This role focuses on the development of the core trading algorithmic platform and of the innovative solutions required by a constantly evolving business needs.

  • Design of innovative implementation approaches, system architecture, code optimisation, interfaces, etc.
  • Define and design the quant electronic platform components for the next generation of etrading technology.
  • Develop the relationships with key partners on the quant and IT side so as to foster the right ecosystem and the right synergies.

Good academics - PhD or MSc preferred and banking is not required
