Description
Data Engineer with live SC Clearance or DV Clearance required by a leading defence customer based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
This is working on a high profile defence project where you will be tasked with developing, implementing and testing various part of a core solution for the business.
We are looking for a strong mid-level or senior Data Engineer with solid experience of ETL and coding/Scripting in Python or Java.
Here is an overview of the core duties this Data Engineer contract will oversee.
- Awareness of Data Migration
- Experience of working in MoD or Defence customers
- Works with minimal-to-no supervision on large and complex projects.
- Ensures that appropriate MOD standards and industry best practices are identified and adhered to.
- Experience of Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript or similar.
Nice to haves:
- Experience of Product Lifecycle Management tools.
- Experience of complex data migration from multiple Legacy systems.
- Experience in some of the following areas:
- JIRA/Confluence
- GIT/BitBucket
- Oracle
- Agile
Please note you must be SC Cleared or DV Cleared to be considered for this contract. This is an Inside IR35 Data Engineer contract working initially to the end of March 2022 but with the likelihood of a 12 month extension thereafter.
The client is calling for this role to be based on site for some of the working week with some remote working too. We can offer a rate of £450 - £525 per day.
