Platform Engineer - GCP - Remote Working - Inside IR35
Our client, and major UK Bank, are currently looking to hire a Platform Engineer with strong experience of GCP to join the team on a contract basis.
Our client has a strategic intent to move its current on-premise data architecture to the Google Cloud Platform ("GCP"). This will enable the client to scale and industrialise Analytics use case delivery, and ultimately, to simplify and rationalise its existing on-premise application landscape.
Role Requirements:
- Big data - batch/streaming/low latency processing, Hadoop, Spark, hive, Terradata etc
- Integration - apis, microservices, ETL patterns
- Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes
- Orchestration - Airflow, Control-M
- Complex networking - routing, Firewalls, etc
- Platform and application layer security
- Scaling and cost management
- Jenkins
- Github
- Nexus/GCR
- Terraform
