Numerous Data Engineers are needed to join my prestigious London based client on an initial 6-month initial contract.
Project Overview:
As a Data Engineer, your role will be to build and maintain my client's tools and create front and Back End processes that will be used to power the insight from our specialist in-house BI team. You will diagnose any technical faults on their associated data platforms, whilst putting automated processes in place for continual data feeds as they look to ramp up the speed of delivery.
The role involves extensive ETL Development, and data processing using Python. You'll provide production support of ETL processes to ensure timely completion and availability of data in the data warehouse for reporting use. You'll use SQL Server to handle large data sets and complex data transformations, and you'll analyse and resolve problems and provide technical assistance.
You'll have ownership of the development and maintenance of BI applications and solutions which deliver a single and trusted source for data and reporting to the business. There will be lots of opportunities to build and maintain Front End dashboards and tools.
Required Experience/Skills
- Advanced SQL experience
- confident using ETL techniques using the Microsoft BI stack
- Power BI Experience
- Extensive experience using Python for data processing/manipulation/mining is essential
- Exposure to AWS or Azure or GCP
