Costello & Reyes Group has been engaged by our client, a global insurance firm, to identify a Solutions Architect for an initial 6 month engagement.
1 Lead Consultant required for Architect role in order to:
Produce designs and solution architecture, leading resource, the role is remote and should be aligned to CET (American time).
Main Responsibilities
Must have hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
Must have an in-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modelling structure principles
Have experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and AWS S3 bucket for integrating data from multiple source system
Understanding of Snowflake SQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake Developing scripts Unix, Python, etc. to do Extract, Load, and Transform data
Have experience in Data warehousing - OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modelling.
Have experience gathering and analysing system requirements
Have good working knowledge of any ETL tool (Informatica or SSIS)
Have familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
Ability to effectively function in a cross team's environment
Have experience building data ingestion pipeline
Have experience in working with AWS (preferred), Azure and Google data services
Have experience in client facing projects. The Ideal Candidate
1+ year of hands on in designing and implementing a fully operational production grade large scale data solution on Snowflake Data Warehouse.
2+ years of hands on experience with building productionized data ingestion and processing pipelines using Java, Spark, Scala, Python
2+ years of hands on experience designing and implementing production grade data warehousing solutions on large scale data technologies such as Teradata, Oracle or DB2 Expertise and excellent understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to problem solve and architect in an environment with unclear requirements.
Awareness of Cloud analytics IaaS and PaaS offerings and ability to discuss and consider the most appropriate platform based on customer requirements
Linux operating system skills in enterprise environments
Hands on experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, testing and managing data platforms, on premises or in the cloud.
Desirable experience with data visualisation tools and methodologies.
Existing technical certification within data focused technology or cloud provider.
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to problem solve.
