Description
Spring Technology are currently recruiting for an experienced SQL Developer to undertake an initial 3 month contract for a client based in the West Midlands. This position is inside IR35 and will be site based.
As a SQL Developer you will be exposed to the forefront of a critical business application that is to be re-engineered from VBA spreadsheet to a SQL database solution. Initially for 3 months (possibly extended to 6 months depending on other project opportunities).
You will have direct access and availability to the original development team, which will be critical to transition a VBA solution to SQL capabilities. Responsibility will be for developing database, stored procedures, and new SQL scripts as required. Undertake engineering tasks of designing, prototyping, coding and testing. Translate existing solution and internal business requirements into technical requirements, in conjunction with specialist systems team to re-engineer for scale and performance. Apply quality and performance design principals. Maintain an audit and reporting capabilities. Consider database structure and conventions to make sound architectural and programmatic decisions. Provide database technical advice to the team and other developers.
Skills Required -
Track record of delivering SQL development projects.
Advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers, complex queries) on MS SQL Server
Query Optimisation Techniques
Integration Services
Database Design and replication
Strong stakeholder and internal communication skills
