Description

Highspeed Simulation Engineers - Remote (40%) and Antwerp, Belgium (60%) - English speaking/START DATE: DECEMBER/JANUARY

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for two Highspeed Simulation Engineers.

For this role you will need to be based onsite in Antwerp (60%). The rest can be done remotely.

Please find some details below:

Job description summary

Pre-layout simulations: defining trace structures and stackups for new designs based on the requested HighSpeed requirements

For this we make use of the layout options inside the HighSpeed simulation toolchain in combination with the IBIS/s-parameter models of the different components in scope.

Layout simulations: Study of E2E channel simulations on the defined trace structures to check if the proposes structures/stackups give the expected results

This is an iterative process where we use actual layout information inside the E2E channel simulations. For this the actual layout info will be converted into s-parameter information.

Via this E2E chennel simulation we check if the HighSpeed interface complies to all requirements towards electrical eye characteristics/BER

Identify area's for improvement in case marginal or non- compliance is seen on this HighSpeed interface.

Post-layout simulations: Final HighSpeed simulation on the final layout before sending this out to the production plant.

Definition of initial HighSpeed interface parameter settings (DFE, TAP, EQ,...) to speed-up the HighSpeed interface bring-up process

Towards toolchains we use the Keysight simulation package existing out of:

SIPro Signal Integrity EM Analysis Element to generate the s-parameters

Advanced Design System (ADS) to run the E2E Channel simulations

From layout perspective, basic knowledge of Valor Universal Viewer is an advantage.

Same towards knowledge on the different Highspeed Ethernet/xPON standards (IEEE)

Please send CV for full details and immediate interviews. We are a preferred supplier to the client.
