Description

1. Purpose:

1.1 This position is for a software application designer/programmer to help maintain and improve our internal process control system running at local, national, and international locations within our company.

1.2 Help maintain and improve other in-house developed applications.

1.3 This position requires strong interpersonal skills in working with fellow IT members, with fellow employees in the design or training stages of a project, or with vendors if evaluating software, hardware or controls needed for a project.

2. Duties and Responsibilities:

2.1 Develop software applications using MSV C# 2013 (or later) utilizing internal conventions and standards to facilitate code comprehension and sharing with fellow programmers.

2.2 Implement, test and debug supported software applications.

2.3 Maintain all code and documentation in Microsoft's Visual Source Safe version control.

2.4 Write documentation within code, of process control applications.

2.5 Must communicate and work well with fellow local, national, and international employees to:

2.6 Determine project requirements in designing new programs or modifying existing ones.

2.7 Provide training to users which may vary from production personnel to office desktop users.

2.8 Provide phone support to fellow employees to resolve program/training issues or supplying customized process data.

2.9 Troubleshoot program issues to discover the problem and best solution.

2.10 Some travel will be necessary to our national or international plants and offices in support of above items with stays usually only up to 5 days, but possibly longer if travelling to other countries.

2.11 PPE includes Safety Goal, Ear Protection, and any additional PPE as required.

2.12 Perform other duties as assigned by management.

3 Skills Required/Qualifications:

3.1 MS Visual Studio C# and C++

3.2 MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS and DBA a plus)

3.3 Windows operating system

3.4 A Plus: (SAP, MS BizTalk, DevExpress, VB)

3.5 Analytical skills.

3.6 Basic understanding of IT hardware and networks.

3.7 Organization skills; prioritization skills.

3.8 Interpersonal skills; cooperation; collaboration; must work well within a group environment and as an individual.

3.9 Good verbal and written communication skills.

3.10 Minimum Associate's Degree, Computer Science or Technical; BS/BA Degree preferred.

3.11 Minimum one (1) years programming experience.
