Description

Java Microservices Developer for greenfield retail financial services programme, 6 months initial contract, programme likely to last for 18-24 months.

  • Collaborate with Tech leads to understand existing platform & systems
  • Work closely with team to understand integration of Core Systems
  • Participate in discovery phase with team to understand functional and non-functional requirements, existing design patterns & principles
  • Craft scalable, flexible and resilient architecture & design artefacts covering functional scope, integration points with core banking systems
  • Define low level microservice Architecture, Secure inter process communication b/w services (Rest, Event Driven), messaging
  • Understand existing software engineering, release and deployment process
  • Define CI/CD pipeline and tools needed for more efficient, automated continuous integration and delivery
  • Deliver good standard of quality in these key areas:
  • Reliability, scalability, resiliency and performance
  • DevSecOps automation
  • Documentation and maintainability
  • Usability
  • Adhere to engineering standards & guidelines, tools and frameworks when developing software
  • Write high quality unit tests, code and documentation

Skills

  • Extensive hands-on experience developing micro services, event driven architecture, Rest APIs
  • Authentication, Authorization, Identity and Access management (OAuth2.0 & OIDC)
  • Hands-on experience with Java & Spring Boot, also NodeJS
  • Frontend development with React or Angular
  • Working with and configuring Jenkins (or a similar CI/CD tool)
  • MongoDB, Kong, Apigee API Gateway, Db2
  • Cloud Development (GCP or AWS)
  • Agile delivery, route to live release process

INSIDE IR35, will need to engage through umbrella company
