Performance Test Engineer
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Performance Test Engineers to join their team in their clients' office in Leeds. You can work remotely until Covid abates.
This is a 12 month temporary contract (with possibility to extend based on performance), to start on 01st of November.
The right candidate should have good Performance Engineering experience and strong Python coding skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive improvements and adoption of test frameworks, following the principles of the open source movement
- Develop software to enhance the performance engineering capability of the tribe
- Contribute to the delivery and success of the clients' Global OTT solution
- Comfortable with taking full ownership of the non-functional test process, that includes ownership of the sign-off of release builds and in-depth issue investigation
- Perform non-functional testing within an Agile software development environment with a view to aiding continuous delivery
- Build and design real world test scenarios that are integrated into the continuous delivery pipeline
- Maintain health of test environment and test injection infrastructure
- Simulate failures and chaos testing to prove highly available and heavily resilient systems (circuit breakers, kill Switches, active-active)
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Strong Python coding skills (Core Developers)
- Performance Engineering experience
- Knowledge and experience in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in GIT (version control)
- Strong communication skills
