Description

We are looking for Data mapper(s) for AWS data platform implementation for a long term project

Locations: Lithuania
Language- English
Start- ASAP

Job Description:
We are looking for data mappers(s) to strengthen our AWS data platform implementation team in Lithuania. The project is currently focusing on building the first step of a data warehouse in ASW S3 and Redshift. The first use cases are mainly reporting related but later the platform will serve as a source to various other systems and data scientists.
You are an experienced data mapper with experience in building data warehouse solutions. You may have worked in various roles in DW projects before but in this project are willing to put your focus on ensuring that the data mapping gets done, documented, and kept up to date. Depending on your background and ambitions, your tasks could also include coding transformation in the platform or taking part in the data modeling work. Since we have data engineering capacity in out team already, we do not expect you to be an AWS expert to begin with.
In short, the task at hand would include:
1. Defining the data to be moved, including the tables, the fields within each table, and the format of the field after it’s moved.
2. Mapping the data – matching the source fields to destination fields
3. Defining the required transformations (actual coding can be done by your data engineer colleagues)
4. Taking part in testing
5. Maintaining and updating the data mapping documentation
This is a full-time role in a Scrum team. The work is done mostly off site, but some travel to Lithuania may be required (Max. 20% expected)
