The following is also applicable to you:
- Over 5 years of on-site working experience in Mission Critical and High-Available banking IT environments where DevOps and Agile way-of-working is the norm
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or other relevant studies at an academic working level
- T-shaped professional who combines the Oracle DBA specializations with the capability of taking over basic activities of other specialists on the team (analysis, development and testing);
- Experience with 24x7 always on databases
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean and ITIL;
- Knowledge of payment processes and products (SEPA, IP, Online and Batch processing, cross border), and payment solutions. High volume transactions, high value payments, 24x7 service;
- Having experience in
o partitioning (large databases/tables)
o managing a Load and Stress Test (LST)
o performance tuning
o how to test an application being deployed on a High Available Oracle infrastructure (relocate, database switch)
o 12c databases, working knowledge of Oracle 19 and pluggable database architecture is a bonus (and upgrading to Oracle 19)
o PL/SQL
o RAC and Data Guard
o Oracle Database Vault
o Edition Based Redefinition / redefinition for zero downtime deployments
o EM13
o Linux (OEL or RH)
o Scripting languages like bash, ksh and perl
o Proven knowledge and working experience with
§ Application servers like IBM WebSphere
§ Java and frameworks like Hibernate
§ tools like XL Deploy
- Proficient skill in spoken and written English
- Mindset of continuous improvement, strongly focused on automating work in and around the team;
- Willing to participate in 24x7 production support
- Able to balance the stakes, at any time in the development process, between the quality to be delivered, urgency and speed, risks and the continuity of the (banking) processes.
o He/she ensures that backlog items that could prevent operational issues, are given the right priority by the product owner.
