Development Manager

3 months (with a view to extend)

Our client is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to start ASAP - You will be responsible for promoting software development best practices and ensuring development is carried out in a manner that increases efficiency over time and improves transparency.

You will also be tasked with collaborating with product owners to understand and agree delivery priorities, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood.

Key Skills/Experience

  • 5 years + recent experience in a Software Development Manager or Leadership role
  • Background of application development - C#, .NET & JavaScript.
  • Extensive experience managing individuals with a varied range of skills and specialities
  • Excellent client facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Budget Management capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of product management, requirements engineering and business analyst techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organisation, and communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when liaising with third parties, be it customers or partners
  • Extensive knowledge of implementing modern build and release pipelines
  • Understanding and interpreting requirements
  • Appreciation for the importance of UX & UI and can work with that team to deliver best practice
  • Conveys vision to product owners or directly to development teams to provide clarity to requirements definition and prioritisation
