Description
Working with one of the world’s most comprehensive port network operators to migrate their various legacy systems into a single IFS10 instance.Current legacy systems are mainly IFS 7, 7.5 & V8 but there are also some migrations from Oracle, JD Edwards, Benner and Gecom.
A key deliverable for the programme is to standardise and improve the quality of the master data and therefore there is an emphasis on cleansing, enrichment and de-duplication of records.
You would be responsible for ensuring the successful migration of master data, Inventory, Procurement and Finance data for a number of legal entities within a large data migration team.
Job description:
Engagement with business users, subject matter experts, data stewards and cleanse team regarding data migration process, rules and any required data mapping
Extraction of data from IFS legacy systems or staging of data from non IFS legacy systems
Apply entity specific rules or mappings within the ETL
Produce extracts for data cleanse activities and stage any cleanse / enrichment inputs to merge with the legacy data
Load master data to IFS10
Produce transactional data for entity review and completion of any missing data
Produce transactional files for load by our integration partners
Validate data to ensure completeness
Strong Technical Reconciliation experience
Skills or experience required:
Extensive GL/ERP finance migration experience
Ability to work independently on migrations with end-to-end responsibility
To work as part of a larger migration team in a standard way
Able to discuss data requirements with MDM, Subject Matter Experts and Business teams
Strong Data migration experience using Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft Transact-SQL
Expert in writing Complex SQL queries and understanding of Dynamic SQL queries for debugging
Able to work to a plan and drive activities
Effective communication
IFS experience is desirable for this role but not essential
Fluency in English is essential, additional fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is an advantage
Start date: January 2022 (or earlier)
Duration: 6 months with possibilities for extension

The role is outside IR35.
