This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.About The Role:
- Provide hands-on and expert understanding of cloud computing, IAAS, PaaS, SaaS and cloud application design pattern.
- Showcase deep expertise on Cloud and Services Oriented Architectures
- Provide consulting and solution roadmaps for large scale cloud transformation, migration and cloud native development on Amazon AWS Platform
- Liaise with Business and Technology teams to drive and lead initiatives focusing on establishing and embedding cloud architecture & design governance across the organization
- Promote Agile and DevOps ways of working as per the businesses compliance
- Lead the initiatives to identify the correct set of cloud technologies to be used for specific type of solutions and drive the effort to templatize and automate those technologies to be used at scale in all products and applications across the organisation
- Architect and design solutions for Hybrid cloud, which are multi-tenant and geo distributed
- Architect and implement DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines using tools like VSTS, Powershell, C#, ARM Templates, Terraform, RestAPI, Ansible etc.
- Collaborate with different teams and service lines to solve technology challenges
- Demonstrate strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills by leveraging the latest trends in technologies
Your Background Needs To Include:
- Cloud exposure - Azure is favoured over AWS
- Automation/Scripting Powershell, ARM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, AWS Cloud formation
- Deep experience in Azure AWS IAAS (with good fundamentals in network and security) as well as PAAS
- A good understanding of all Azure services and ability to choose the right service for a workload among multiple Azure services
- Strong expertise in DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD and tools like VSTS, Jira, Jenkins, Powershell, ARM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, AWS Cloud formation
- Strong understanding of one or more development platform .NET technologies (C#), Java/JavaScript or Powershell/JSON
- Technically adapt in multiple areas, including .NET/C#, Java, Python, Powershell, JSON, etc.
- Experience in Micro services and container technologies
Preferred
- Microsoft Azure/AWS related certifications
