Description

Our client, an established and very large not for profit organization, is looking for a contract Solution Architect with a strong understanding of Java based web applications and experience working with Cloud migrations. The Solution Architect will be responsible for providing technical consultancy, including design authority for projects developing and promoting the strategic architectural vision for the client.

Responsibilities for the Solution Architect

  • Maintaining the pinnacle of technical expertise in current and potential future technology solutions
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures (technical models) in support of the technical strategy and communicate direction and road maps with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Contribute, develop, and evolve the Society's technical and information security strategies and their corresponding roadmaps. Defining the Technical Strategy to achieve the Society's goals.
  • Recommend, influence, and inform strategic and tactical planning to ensure compliance within the technical strategy and data principles.
  • Actively promote the alignment of solution delivery to the technical strategy and data principles.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the development standards and approach

Key Skills & Experience for the Solution Architect

Essential

  • Extensive Java and XML experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of cloud technologies
  • Previous experience working in an IT department as a technical expert.
  • Providing technical consultancy on systems integration and implementation.
  • Experience of supporting organisational change with technical solutions.
  • Multiple languages (Java/J2EE,HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML/XSLT).
