Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure/.NET/ARM)
The successful candidate will be a hands on Team Leader of the new Platform Engineering Team within the IT Department.
The role will be predominantly responsible for the delivery of a hybrid cloud technical platform. The role will manage a small team of cloud engineers and cloud developers to build out a number of Microsoft Azure and third party integrations software solutions.
The role holder will be expected to have a deep understanding and of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Hybrid cloud technologies with a particularly deep understanding of Microsoft's solutions in this space.
You should have experience of creating and working with design documentation and be familiar with working with delivery pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps for infrastructure as code in cloud-based deployments as well as traditional on-premise application design and deployment.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience in managing and motivating semi-autonomous teams in an agile way.
- Previous experience as a Lead Developer or Cloud Engineer managing a team to deploy and continuously deliver and enhance applications leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD practices.
- Previous experience of creating and deploying cloud solutions as Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates.
- Proven experience of deploying Integrations technology such as RabbitMQ, nServicebus, Azure API Management and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience in creating and deploying Azure Web Apps, Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
- Microsoft Azure Associate Qualification in any of the suitable AI, Power Platform, Developer, DevOps type areas.
