Description
Lead Data Engineer needed with experience of working on large enterprise data lake projects, strong coding skills in C# and Python and experience of leading and supporting data teams. In summary this is a role for someone with Data Lakes, AWS, Graph Databases, Analytics and application development with both C# and Python.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
*Strong knowledge of Graph databases, ideally (but not necessarily) Neo4J.
*Strong knowledge of Data Warehouses and Data Lakes from inception to scale-out.
*Strong knowledge of data governance practices.
*Implementing data pipelines and ingestion mechanisms and technologies.
*ETL, batch vs Real Time feeds and applying data quality rules.
*Expert skills in validating complex requirements and making technical decisions.
*Hands on exp. of AWS Cloud infrastructure and services supporting data feeds and lakes.
*At ease with troubleshooting in complex data flows and environments through experience
*Good documentation writing and presentation skills with the ability to convey and explain complex technical information to non-technical staff.
*Strong exposure to one or more of XP, Scrum, Lean, DevSecOps CALMS/Rugged cultures
This role will act as a Domain Lead across at least 2 delivery streams:
*A Data Foundation team responsible for the core data lake platform, data discovery, quality and analytics.
*A Data Products team that makes data available to customers through microservices & web apps.
Rate: £630 per day inside IR35
