Role: Azure IoT Developer
Location - London (Currently remote, Later hybrid)
Employment: Contract/Full Time
Duration: 6 months + possible extension for Contract
Notice period: immediate to max within 2- 3 weeks
Project Role: IoT Developer - Azure IoT platform
- 5 - 6 years of overall IoT development experience with 1-2 years using Azure IoT platform
- At least 1 year of Edge development experience on IoT Platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, PTC Thingworx
- At least 3 years as a software engineer with experience on one or more of the following: C++, Python, JavaScript, Node.JS, Node Red, Java, Scala, C#, Erlang, Elixir, etc.
- Should have experience with working on IoT Edge and Analytics at the Edge
- Should have Cloud development experience on at least one of the industry leading platforms IoT Platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, PTC Thingsworx
- Should have experience developing or supporting IoT Solutions at scale in production environment
- Should have contributed to project teams that could include both onshore and offshore people
- Should have contributed to IoT Solution development, architecture and infrastructure design, technology build and deployment activities across multiple IoT platforms
- Preference to Azure IoT platform certified candidates
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform - PaaS & IaaS services
- Good knowledge of IoT architectures from devices to cloud (Devices, Gateways, Connectivity, Cloud, Analytics and Visualization)
Technical expertise:
- Good experience in OPC UA, MQTT, AMQP, Modbus TCP/IP, CoAP, AMQPS
- Experienced in IoT Hub, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Time Series Insights, Azure IoT Edge/Custom IoT Edge Gateway
- Good experience Azure SQL
- Knowledge of Azure Digital Twin, Azure VMs, App Service Plan, Azure Service Fabrics, Azure Kubernetes Service, Service Bus, Queues, Topics, Logic Apps, Functions
- Knowledge of modern DevOps methods and tooling
- Strong team player, Strong problem solving skills, Strong presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
