We have a new EXCITING opportunity with one of our sector-leading Investment Banking clients! They are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join their team on a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You'll be working in the Quantitative Research IT team within Group Research, Analytics and Communications (GRAC), in London. We are a small team using agile development methods and collaborating closely with the Quantitative Research analysts globally to support their needs. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in India and the United Kingdom.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
They are looking for a hardcore Python coder from a very strong Computer Science background who has experience of following the software Design Pattens.
They want a candidate that is focussed on building code from scratch
This person needs structured testing experience - they will be required to carry out their own unit and integration tests.
Basic Logic, File Loaders & Internet Connectivity experience required.
This person will be working closely with Quants and Business users - This person doesn't have to have a Quant background themselves.
Pandas and NumPy is nice to have but not essential.
Microservices & API experience is nice to have but not essential.
Azure Cloud & Big Data experience is nice to have but not essential.
