Engineering Lead - (Java/Scala/Python) - London/Remote

Day rate: £600 - £800

Duration: 6 month contract

Start: Now

The individual should have vast experience in delivering complex projects with big teams, delivering complex architecture solutions using modern engineering practices with continuous improvement mind-set. Below are some of the areas of focus

  • Detailed understanding and experience in leveraging modern engineering tools like GIT, Kubernetes, helm, docker etc.
  • Detailed understanding and experience in engineering patterns like Microservices, Event based architecture, Data transformation pipelines etc.
  • Detailed understanding and experience in managing best practices like branching strategy, etc.
  • Understanding of the Agile ways of working like Emerging architecture, ways to visualise waste in the work and continuously focusing on removing any tech debts etc.
  • Good understanding and experience in leveraging of TDD & BDD approaches for development
  • Good understanding of Java, Scala, Python, Argo, DBT (data build tool), Kafka, Spark
  • Good understanding of the cloud services like GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Data Flow etc.
  • Good understanding of the Devops tools and practices, CI, CD pipelines, containerisation, logging and monitoring etc.
  • Good understanding of quality and measures, to continuously monitor and improve
