Description
An experienced PHP Developer is required for an initial 3 month contract (inside IR35) to be based working remotely. Candidates are required to be UK based.
As a PHP Developer you will be working with a vibrant and energetic development team to deliver a diverse set of application platforms for our financial services client.
The following skills & experience are required;
- PHP any modern MVC framework (Symfony/Laravel)
- You will want to understand the challenges of building for highly distributed services, working with APIs and AWS services
- Experience working with AWS and its features
- Understanding of BDD
- Experience creating sites within a micro-services infrastructure
- Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development
- Must have experience working in a LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into Front End code
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- An understanding of low-level database administration and hosting environments
- Experience of automated testing (preferably PHPUnit and Behat/Selenium)
- Version control with GIT (BitBucket, GitLab) Understanding of GIT workflows
- OOP design patterns.
- NoSQL, such as Elasticsearch
- Microservices/Docker
Advantageous
- Some knowledge of CQRS with ES
- Some knowledge of JavaScript Front End frameworks, Angular JS
