Embedded Analytics Engineer - Postgres SQL/data modeller/ETL
Duration: Contract 6 months
Location: 100% remote
Salary: £ per day
Do you know how to provide clean well modelled data to a team of Data Scientist and Analysts? Are you an expert in large messy data sets and querying in Postgres SQL?
This is a Datamodelling role.
Sentinel are working with a hyper-growth start-up organisation founded in the UK they are now breaking into the global market. They are looking for a Analytics Engineer to be embed in to a product team to empower the Data Scientist and Analysts to deliver a useable data to the users.
Responsibilities:
As the Analytics Engineer you will be responsible for providing clean, tested, well-documented and well-modelled data sets.
- You will sit in a product team with the goal of making data clean, easy and structured for Data Scientists
- Modelling data for the down stream needs
- Developing tests and methodologies to proactively detect and correct data anomalies at source and/or manipulation
Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone who has been in a position where they supported a data team by providing well modelled data, you might be an analyst moving towards engineering and know how you'd like the data
If you have a strong mix of the following skills and experience:
- Very Strong SQL with a focus on Postgres SQL
- Comfortable with messy data sets
- You must have a modern BI tool experience Looker or Tableau developer skills, with an emphasis on LookML (this is a big plus)
- A understanding of; clustering, indexing, and PDT's
- Good practical understanding of version control
