ECS are one of the leading and fastest growing Digital Transformation Consultancies in the UK, specialising in Cloud Enablement, Data & Analytics, Cost Optimisation, DevOps and Customer Experience. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Developer with strong Python experience for a remote based 6-12 month contract working with client renowned for their quantitative research services, machine learning and Big Data.
The suitable Python Developer for this role will need to have a combination of skills and experience to carry out the following:
- Ingestion of server spec data from hardware vendor and import to configuration/life cycle management service database
- Create, update and manage Ansible playbooks and modules used by Jenkins to trigger changes via webhooks from these playbooks
- Help to migrate Infrastructure management service to an as-code', immutable infrastructure approach
- Implement scheduled tear-down and rebuild of infrastructure without impacting services
- Enable automated hardware testing and configuration checks.
- Strong Python skills
