E-commerce Manager - Shopify
Inside IR35 - Hybrid working
Our client who are global media organisation have an initial 12 month contract opportunity for an experienced E-commerce Manager/Platform Manager to help with an exciting new project to help the business migrate from a Legacy application to a Shopify platform.
Role and skills required:
Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and execute tasks with accuracy in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to understand business requirements and issues and define pragmatic technical solutions to achieve outcome
Proficiency in modern design patterns and development languages including PHP, Symphony, JavaScript, HTML, CSS (or similar)
Deep understanding of Shopify Front End design and data structures
Strong drive to continue improving skills and to stay on the cutting edge of web technology
Capable of learning new technologies and platforms quickly and able to apply them to solve complex problems
In-depth knowledge of PCI compliance and other E-commerce industry topics a plus
Demonstrable understanding of basic Internet concepts such as: domain registration, DNS, DMZ, Router, Firewall, Ports, Load Balancing, DNS (or similar)
Desirable
Proven track record implementing and operating large scale, E-commerce based operations
Experience with Shopify 2.0 preferred (or similar)
Experience with multi-website, store view deployment
Experience working with the following technologies: Javascript (Prototype and JQuery), XML, JSON, SQL, PHP, CSS2, CSS3 (or similar)
Experience with troubleshooting integrations of online payment gateways (eg, Braintree, PayPal, Worldpay (or similar)
Experience with Product Information Management Systems, Order Management Systems and Warehouse Management a plus
Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms a plus
