Software Engineer - VxWorks
Based in Brough a Software Engineer is required on a 12 month contract basis to work for a major defence client.
Hourly Rate: £34.77 PAYE or £44 Umbrella
Overview
- You'll be required to utilise Agile Development Processes and Techniques, the work will typically involve production of software design and code through to integration testing and support.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work within a team of software engineers developing mission system computer software generally written in Ada.
Skills
- Familiarity with requirements capture and traceability tools/techniques. (eg IBM DOORS)
- Familiarity with UML, PTC Integrity Modelor or similar software design tools/methodologies.
- Knowledge of a High Level Programming language eg Ada, C, C++
- Knowledge of Software Development environments eg GPS (GNAT), GNATStudio.
- Knowledge of Software Unit Testing Tools eg VectorCast/Ada
- Experience of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the following would be beneficial, DO-178C, DO-330, PowerPC, VxWork-653, VxWorks 7, or Avionics busses eg MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429
