Description
Senior Java Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Java Developer Lead Front Office Trading Derivatives Agile TDD IBOR Python AWS Cloud Asset Management Investment Manager Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London.
You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Senior Java Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Strong design and architecture experience
- Excellent Front Office trading knowledge, ideally including knowledge of derivatives
- Experience working with Front Office stakeholders
- Agile and modern development practices

Role: Senior Java Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Java Developer Lead Front Office Trading Derivatives Agile TDD IBOR Python AWS Cloud Asset Management Investment Manager Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a project at inception with one other engineer and a Business Analyst. You will build the abstraction layer and API for a vendor IBOR product. The decision for the vendor product will come in Q4 2021 but the surrounding work will begin immediately. After the implementation, there will be a need to build further functionality which will take the project work up to 2023 and beyond.
The stack will be Java, with some Python and exposure to AWS. Asset management experience is highly desired but not essential. As is knowledge of derivatives, as you will be interacting directly with the portfolio managers despite the team's BA. Any experience with IBOR- Investment Book of Records- would be excellent!
You and your fellow software engineer will set the methods, standards and practices in the team. The team will also likely grow in the next 12 months, offering the opportunity to become a technical lead.
