Java Backend Developer - Banking
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires Java Backend Developers to be based in their client's office in Glasgow, UK.
You may work remotely until covid abates and then you will be required to work from the Glasgow office at least 2-3 days per week initially.
The right candidate must have 8+ years of experience as a Java Developer and with minimum 5 years of experience with Core Java (version 8+).
This is a 12- month temporary contract to start on 01st Feb 2022.
Key Responsibilities/Key Requirements
- You will primarily work as a Java 8+ Developer as part of a collaborative agile development team.
- You will work on a modern micro service-based Java 8+ platform which runs on own internal cloud
- you will be responsible for continuously improving the quality of our system & codebase including code reviews & refactoring where necessary.
- Experience of Agile & scrum methodologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Core Java (version 8+)
- Unix Shell Scripting
- SQL & Relational Databases such as DB2
- Integration Technologies - MQ/XML/SOAP/JSON/Protocol Buffer/Spring
- Enterprise Architecture Pattern, GoF design
- Build & Agile - ANT, Gradle/Maven, Sonar,Jenkins/Hudson, GIT/perforce
- Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis,Design & Programming
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in banking & regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of OTC,listed & cash products
- Domain driven design & microservices experience
- Knowledge of English is required.
