Technical Architect - Bristol - Contract - Up to £635 per day (Outside IR35) - SC Cleared

Our client is seeking an architect experienced in conducting Design & Architectural reviews for communications information systems within the MOD. You'll be doing this using Sparx EA. Archimate®. You will have experience if TOGAF, JSP's & DEFSTAN's ideally

The Key Responsibilities of an Technical Architect:

You shall provide Architectural guidance and decision support to work package leads.

As a minimum this will include:

  • Delivery in accordance with relevant statement of requirements plus additional tasks as required to support the authority and below
  • Accountable and Responsible for delivery of Architectures and design artefacts for required project using Sparx Enterprise Architect and Archimate
  • Develop Architectural diagrams & views using Sparx Enterprise Architect in line with programme guidance.
  • Obtain cross functional engagement and agreement on architectures resulting in collaborative development of designs
  • Manage the oversight of project and programme Architecture/design Risks
  • Review and provide authoritative feedback on architecture design documentation created by industry partners, to check conformance with the client's Ways of Working and policies.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Technical Architect, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Experience of design and review of system architectures through the application of patterns and principles.
  • Experience and Knowledge of the MOD Acquisition System Operating Model
  • Knowledge of relevant JSP's & DEFSTANs
  • Knowledge of MOD Equipment's currently in service and to be released into service within next 5 years
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Sparx EA. Archimate® certification or significant professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience of TOGAF®. Certification an advantage
