Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a PHP Developer on behalf of a business in Stockholm that brings the best E-commerce bidding online to the market. They are a business that were established in 2003, currently has 40+ employees, which 8 are in their development team and a group with smaller several products companies inside.For this position, you will work with a specific company that was launched last Spring to the public have already a series of clients live on the platform. Now they are focusing on the process of building out new features based on client feedback, and iterations to make it better. This gives you the opportunity to build something a lot of people will use, and to get good rapid feedback cycles from real-time live clients.
Skillset and toolkit
They are hiring a versatile back-end developer who can join their tech team.
Their stack is built around PHP 8.0, Laravel, MySQL, Redis, Sphinx / Elastic Search & REST CRUD Api. The more of that you are comfortable with or proficient in, the better.
Since their products handle very large data sets, processing many million products with many individual parameters, having experience from scalable environments and products is very valuable. Optimisation becomes key in this scaling process, where small adjustments can truly matter.
SQL and how to structure databases & tables with many relationships and solid indexing should be second nature to you. This is significant and important for what they do.
