Java Spring Boot Developer

Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer to work with a key client.

* PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be required to use an FCSA Umbrella company.*

We have vacancies for Java Spring Boot developers to join our dynamic team building solutions for our client. Our mature Agile environment will give you a great working environment to collaborate with fellow specialists from development and other disciplines.

Working with us will mean delivering critical digital services from Cradle to grave working on high performance cloud platforms using emerging languages and technologies.

As a member of our self-empowered and multi-disciplined teams you will be given the freedom to shape the way you work to ensure you are working to latest industry practices, tools and technologies.

Ideal candidates will have strong technical competence in:
* Java
* Spring Boot
* Apache Camel
* XSLT/JAXB (payload transformations)
* Queue managers (pref Rabbit MQ or WebSphere MQ)
* Unit testing and integration testing
* Commercial experience of building MVC Web and RESTful APIs in Spring boot
* Good working knowledge of Spring JPA, AOP, Transactions, SQL and NoSQL databases

Desirable:
* Container management platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
* Cloud based infrastructure
* Understanding of application security principles, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

As a well-rounded Agile developer, we expect adaptability plus general skills in problem solving, business analysis, quality assurance, application design and architecture to compliment your Java development specialism.

What to expect:
As a Java Developer your primary focus will be to deliver user stories whilst working as a part of a multi-disciplined team.
You'll be working closely with analysts and designers to build, deploy and support your Java Spring Boot microservices using well established software development techniques such as TDD and pair programming.
Getting involved with all stages of service delivery including configuring, deploying and monitoring using industry standard tooling, to truly work in a DevOps capacity.
Whilst working in a collaborative environment you are going to meet a variety of different people who, like you, have a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a part of one or more communities you will have the opportunity to influence how we grow as delivery centre and how we do things by sharing ideas and working with others to make things better
